I discovered this marvelous view on an imaginary flight over the village while waiting for the ferry to Quadra Island. Whaletown has been a source of shelter and sustenance for eons. Once an aboriginal hide-away then a short-lived whaling station. Today Whaletown boasts of their miniscule post office (behind the red car and red post box), floating dental clinic (little building on the lower wharf) and quiet lifestyle.
