This whimsy has been in the works for several years. The stimulus to get it underway came from our local Friends of Cortes (FOCI) organization. FOCI needed a backdrop for their community planning presentation. What better than a whimsical aerial view of our small center we call Manson's Landing. The actual landing is about a kilometre away at the end of the road in the upper centre of this rendering. We still hesitate to call this a town or even a village, but there are now over 26 businesses at the Landing including our always active Community Hall, two cafes, the Credit Union, Public School and Fire Hall. One of these days I'm going to paint this as a full color acrylic on canvas. But I best not wait too long, or there will be a lot of changes to incorporate, we're growing!
