For your comfort and safety, our property is a non-smoking environment. One to three people can be very comfortably accommodated with queen sized bed and comfy roll-out. Additional guests possible. There's also lots of room in the yard to pitch a tent.

Guest comment: "We really enjoyed your corner of the universe. It was a perfect walk to Hollyhock and had all we needed and more." Note: Walk to Hollyhock is about 25 - 30 minutes, or 5 minute drive.
The suite includes a roomy kitchen complete with everything to make a kitchen work, (all the pots, pans and dishes you will need), plus organic breakfast fixings in the fridge. Separate bedroom, bathroom with shower, cozy living room with a stretch out and put-your-feet-up style couch.

We have lots of room for you, your vehicles, boats and dogs. Our location puts you close to everything, including lake and ocean beaches. Well behaved dogs are welcome and can have free run of the private fully fenced yard. Trails start right from the back of the B & B and provide good dog walking in many directions. Note that dogs are kept to the tiled kitchen in the suite.
Stay cozy in our electrically heated unit, or on blustery winter days if the power goes off, we can fire up the pellet stove for wood stove warmth. For indoor entertainment there is a VCR and DVD player, video collection, games and a small book exchange (leave one, take one). Additional rental movies are available close by at the Cortes Market (contemporary and Hollywood films) and the Cortes Food Coop (art house, foreign films and Film Festival Award winners).

This self-contained suite is located in our island home that includes an art studio, teaching studio and gallery. The gallery is open by chance or appointment but we always welcome our guests during your stay.Talk to us about an "artistic holiday" too!.

Do you have a special interest in the visual arts? We welcome your visit to our gallery and studio. We also offer exciting Art Retreat Packages. Art Retreats can be designed to meet your creative specifications. Visit Cortes for a couple of days or longer to work (or play!) with your own project or take advantage of our expertise in a variety of art forms including watercolor, acrylic, landscape or working with natural materials.
