| Island Rest offers a spacious, fully furnished self-contained one bedroom suite with your own entrance, patio, and large yard. Sleeps 1 - 3 people very comfortably with queen sized bed and comfy roll-out. Additional guests possible. There's also lots of room in the yard to pitch a tent.
Guest comment: "We really enjoyed your little nook. It was a perfect walk from Hollyhock and had all we needed and more." Note: Walk to Hollyhock is about 25 - 30 minutes, or 5 minute drive.

| The suite includes a roomy kitchen complete with everything to make a kitchen work, (all the pots, pans and dishes you will need), plus organic breakfast fixings in the fridge. Separate bedroom, bathroom with shower, cozy living room with a stretch out and put-your-feet-up style couch.
Well behaved dogs are welcome and can have free run of the fully fenced yard. Guest comment: "What a pleasure it was to spend time on Cortes in your home. Foster adored his jaunts up and down the yard, and we were delighted with our picnic and repose in the sun. Your gallery was fantastic."

| Stay cozy in our electrically heated unit, or on blustery winter days we can fire up the pellet stove for wood stove warmth. For indoor entertainment there is a VCR and DVD players, video collection, games and a small book exchange (leave one, take one). Additional rental movies are available close by at the Cortes Market (contemporary and Hollywood films) and the Cortes Food Coop (art house, foreign films and Film Festival Award winners).
We're not on the waterfront, but all the island beaches are only minutes away.

This separate suite is located in our island home that features an art studio, teaching studio and a gallery. The gallery is open by chance or appointment but we always welcome our guests during your stay. The teaching studio is accessible for your own projects from fabric to acrylic painting. Talk to us about an "artistic holiday".
"I loved my time on Cortes! Thanks soooo much for the watercoloour course. I've been connecting with my friends and blabbering on and on about it. Have lots of ideas for paintings. I've also commited myself to doing a minimum of one sketch a day! Thanks for a fabulous time. I love your paintable beaches!"
