West Coast artist Mark Robson has called this stretch of west coast one of the most creatively interesting and challenging. Sharp crags of rock erupt from the sea or shoreline and support a surprising array of coastal flora. They are knife-edged from one view and much broader from another. They're tough remnants of ancient uplifts I would guess. They can be black against a setting sun or filled with colour when viewed from the opposite angle.
