"Rock Bluff Symphony"

Symphony was the first in a series of Cortes Island bluffs and shoreline scenes that began to define my style, loose washes within clearly delineated shapes and more intense colour. People sometimes comment on my colours and question their validity. They all come from nature. I see them and the more I look, the more I see and the brighter and more vivid the colours become. There is also a reference to music and rythym in my titles which is refelective of the movement and dynamics within the painting, a very important element for me. I have returned to this image recently and created it as a acrylic tryptich. (When I've a page for it I'll link it to this one)
