"Where I Walk"

This is indeed a place I have walked, or more accurately, scrambled. Each place I've lived on Cortes Island has introduced me to a different landscape. There is a distinct dividing line on the island between that which is rock, and the gravel / sand moraine of the southern tip. I'm most drawn to the rocky areas. I'm not sure 'rocky' is the right term though. A good part of the island is bold, bouldery, and massive rock, mostly granite, with here and there black lava seams. Just writing about this kind of landscape and I want to grab up my sketching bag and go out among my bouldery friends.
